The IEEE Communications Society seeks nominations for the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Communications Letters. The two-year term starts on 1 January 2016.
IEEE Communications Letters provides researchers with an ideal venue for sharing their newest results in a timely manner. Every month this journal publishes about 50 short (up to 4 pages) high-quality contributions on the theory and practice of communications. Submissions are reviewed by experts and evaluated by the editorial board. Accepted manuscripts experience an average span of 5 months from submission to publication.
This is a call for nominations (self-nominations are permitted) for the new Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Communications Letter. The EiC is appointed for a 2-year term. The new EiC will be appointed by 1 January 2016 and will take over full EiC responsibilities on the same date. The EiC is expected to have proven leadership skills and to continue the improvement and development of the journal as the fast publishing premier venue for communications and networking research.
Requirement for Nominations:
· a brief IEEE-style biography (up to 200 words), including a listing of the candidate's editorial experience
· a complete CV and list-of-publications of the candidate
· a brief statement from the nominator(s), or, if self-nominated, a letter of reference that is submitted separately
· a statement of interest of up to 500 words providing the nominee's vision for the journal.
